About Orlock

House Orlock is also called House of Iron because of the numerous ore mine they possess. The House symbol is an iron glove holding a chain - a sign of resolve and strenght, but also of the link between gang members relying on each other.

Comments

Building an Orlock gang from the Necromunda boxed set implied a lot of work with plastic and therefore lot of conversion opportunities. Trying to get the best of the two pose models and of their swap arms, I designed each Orlock ganger with a distinct attitude and armament. Several Goliath arms were consumed in the process to get extra guns, as well as a Dark Eldar jetbike chain bitz laying around that I opportunely used as a chain weapon.

I was pleased with the output, as you can see with ganger models below.
Other gang members are just metal miniatures not worked on, except for the paint job. I have some plastic Orlock remaining and will certainly put them to good use - as Imperial Guard troopers, Tau auxiliaries or whatever comes to my mind.

In combat Orlock are geared towards gunfights, with plenty of skills enhancing their abilities with rifles and pistols. A single Orlock juve with two pistols and the skill to use them both is a very nasty opponent, able to bring down many gangers while costing only a fraction of their value.
